Protect is a satirical concept created for Deceit, an art project about the patterns of manipulation in institutional technology. There is no real church product behind this page. Nothing entered on this site — signup, checkout, or the chat widget — is stored or sent anywhere outside this browser tab.

Scans social media, review sites, and "church complaint platforms" for negative mentions of the pastor. negative mentions are flagged. the pastor gets a notification. the pastor can "initiate a response." jake built this because he believes "pastors need protection." jake didn't think about what happens when the negative mention is a victim telling the truth. jake didn't build a "is this complaint valid?" feature. jake built a "make it go away" feature. jake calls it "protection." the protection protects the pastor. the protection does not protect the sheep.
